Ali Horriyat was born in Dubai and holds degrees in economics, political science, philosophy, business, international relations, conflict resolution, and religion. He founded the social activism non-profit Compassiviste in 2020 after selling his lucrative hedge fund and donating it towards mental health causes in 2016.
